The 3 day rule

There is this 3 day rule guys follow before calling a girl they just met.

 I can remember this unwritten rule since I started going out. 

For some reason it takes guys 3 days to call so they won't seem too keen on the lady. 

Or maybe they were so pissed the night they met the lady that they are not sure if they should call in case she turns out to be a dog. 

Either way they end up calling after 3 days anyway. 

I always wondered though - why 3 days? Why not 2 or 4? 2 is seen as too soon and 4 as too long?

And why would you want to show a girl you just met and trying to get into her knickers that you are not so keen on her? Is that really the best thing to do to get a girl to sleep with you? Way to go! I bet it makes girls feel so special they will just take off their clothes instantly and beg for it.

If you end up calling you are showing you like her anyway so why does it take 3 days? You never know what happens in those 3 days!

In the mean time women know about this and not surprised it takes the guy 3 days so what is the point of tiptoeing around that call.

And on a final note: women think this is a stupid rule!
