Forever Loved

For  those born in the past decades, I'm sure Rock and Roll has a very special place in their hearts. Those born in the 80's are for sure the last 'Rock' generation to now. Who can not relate to a time where there were no mobiles, internet, and people waited for their favourite bands new album to come out which by the way did not have one or two good songs like today's album but were all great tracks! Who cannot relate to falling in love listening to that rock ballad or crying to it? I can remember a time when the day schools closed for the summer I listened to Alice Cooper's schools out so excited to begin my summer! What's for sure is that Rock and Roll, in all its forms, has been much loved, had lots to offer but unfortunately those born after the 80's prefer to listen to this crap that they call music like what is sung by Bieber. Who can argue that bands like The Beatles, the Rolling stones, Aerosmith, Guns and Roses,Motorhead etc are not some of the greatest bands who have created some of the best sounds in music and have lest this legacy which kids these days cannot appreciate because they have nothing to fight for.

I often find myself asking teenagers how do they manage to fall in love, express their pain without listening to such music. How much of a deep meaning can Rihanas 'Rude boy' have in it's lyrics which by the way should not be a song for teenager girls and boys. I remember getting inked back in the 80's or beginning of the 90's and being dressed in black tight clothes with Dr Martins (you know the proper one not this pink stuff they wear now) and be looked at as if I am a drug addict to say the list. I must say I do miss those days at least we had quality in our lives. We had venues we met up and somehow we managed to do meet up without having to use a mobile 20 times the day before to arrange a night out or having to arrange it a month before.
I must say to my great disappointment that those days will not come back and what is worse future generations will relive Woodstock, or any other great age as we past generations did. Although there are good attempts made by so many great bands these days which do not seem to get the credit they deserve and do not manage to make it big because of the music industry which will rather make famous a monkey in heels performing than bring out quality music. Music festivals like the download although are such good attempts and great places to be which I highly recommend unfortunately do not seem to make today's teenagers see what 'Rock' has to offer and cannot see the meaning behind 'Welcome to the jungle' or 'I want to  break free'. And no matter how much they wear those band t-shirts because this year apparently 'Rock' is fashionable rather than a way of life or expression, they will never understand what it is like to love a band so much that you will do anything to save up to see them live or buy their latest album. However much they dress in what is considered to be 'rock style' they will never understand the lifestyle behind it and why Rockers are as special as they are as people and mentality.
